    Sunmount Veteran's Hospital

    In the early 1920s, the farsighted citizens of Tupper Lake raised $20,000 to purchase the 160 acre Hosley Farm. They sold it to the Federal government for $1 as the future site of the U.S. Veterans’ Hospital in 1922. Today, Sunmount remains the single most important influence on Tupper Lake’s economy.
